Individually and in conjunction with Howard Greene & Associates, Matthew Greene has had significant experience working with schools, organizations and companies to provide support, training, and information about school and college admissions and counseling. Every situation is unique, of course, but there are best practices in college counseling, for example, which every high school should consider when evaluating or restructuring its college guidance program. Dr. Greene has worked with independent day and boarding schools to train and support less-experienced college counselors, and has consulted directly with College Presidents and Admissions Deans to help improve a college’s outreach and admissions efforts. From selected Head of School searches to facilitating strategic planning processes for schools or nonprofit organizations, Matthew Greene can work with an organization in a professional, individual or team-based, confidential or public-facing role. Dr. Greene is a highly experienced public speaker, both on-site and virtually.

Consulting to Schools

Past consulting arrangements have included work with such schools as Friends Central School, Purnell School, Stanwich School, Pierrepont School, and Kimball Union Academy. Dr. Greene can serve as a temporary college guidance professional for new independent schools; help long-range planning or other board or administration working groups audit and improve admissions and counseling programs; and facilitate strategic planning and board or administrative transitions on-site. Other options include presentation of college admissions seminars to students, parents, trustees, and staff, and high-level advising to school leaders.

Consulting to Organizations

With significant non-profit leadership and consulting experience, Matthew Greene can provide leadership, planning support, and programming for many kinds of organizations. Organizational relationships and presentations have included Tuesday’s Children, National Society for the Gifted and Talented, Family and Children’s Agency, Putney Student Travel (Excel), A Better Chance, and Young Presidents’ Organization. Dr. Greene has presented at many conferences, and is available to moderate panels, speak, or provide testimony, and has done so for the Educational Records Bureau, the Secondary School Admission Test Board, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the Education Commission of the States, and the National Conference of State Legislatures.

Consulting for Companies

Such companies as Thomson Learning, Peterson’s, JPMorgan-Chase, GTE, and the American Institute for Foreign Study, have worked with us for high-level advisement of key employees, customized secondary or college admissions seminars for special client groups including high net-worth/private clients, and broad-based satellite college planning programs. If you are interested in discussing assistance with relocation planning for essential hires, providing top-notch educational planning support as a custom company benefit, or arranging for on-site or virtual educational seminars, please email or call to discuss possibilities.
